Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

1. Be an Indonesian citizen.
2. Be a first-semester undergraduate (S1/D4) student at a participating public university, including Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).
3. For USU, the Bright Scholarship 2026 is exclusively open to female students.
4. Demonstrate a strong motivation to achieve academic excellence.
5. Have organizational experience.
6. Be able to read the Qur'an.
7. Have financial need.
8. Be willing to participate in the scholarship's residential mentoring program and live in the dormitory.

Required Documents

Applicants must prepare the following documents:

1. Personal statement and curriculum vitae (CV)
2. Scanned copy or photo of senior high school academic transcript
3. Scanned copy or photo of student ID card (KTM), tuition payment slip, or proof of admission to a partner public university
4. Scanned copy or photo of the Family Card (Kartu Keluarga) or family composition document
5. Photograph of the front of the family home and the living room
6. Formal passport-sized photograph
7. Scanned copies of certificates of achievement (if applicable)
8. One of the following documents as proof of financial need:
   1. Parent or guardian income statement
   2. Prosperous Family Card (KKS)
   3. Family Hope Program (PKH) card
   4. Government social assistance program card
   5. Certificate of Financial Hardship (SKTM) issued by the village head, sub-village head, the parent's employer, or a recognized community leader, with verifiable authenticity
