The Pegadaian Gold Generation Scholarship 2026 (PGGS 2026) is open to students of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) who have demonstrated strong academic performance but face financial constraints. Through this scholarship, the program seeks to create long-term social impact by helping reduce extreme poverty in future generations and breaking the cycle of related challenges, including the risk of increased stunting, by providing greater access to higher education for economically disadvantaged students.

Benefits of Pegadaian Gold Generation Scholarship 2026 (PGGS 2026)
- Full Tuition Fee (UKT) assistance from Semester 3 through a maximum of Semester 8.
- A monthly living allowance of IDR 750,000 from Semester 3 through a maximum of Semester 8.
- Opportunities to participate in personal development programs, financial literacy initiatives, seminars, and training organized by PT Pegadaian.
Eligibility Requirements of Pegadaian Gold Generation Scholarship 2026 (PGGS 2026)
- Be an active undergraduate (Bachelor's degree/S1) student at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
- Be enrolled in at least the third semester with a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.00 scale.
- Come from an economically disadvantaged family.
- Not be receiving another scholarship from any other institution.
- Be actively involved in student organizations and/or social activities, with academic or non-academic achievements considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrate an innovative idea related to financial literacy and investment that could benefit students and the wider academic community.
- Be willing to participate in all mentoring programs and activities organized by PT Pegadaian and Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Required Documents for Pegadaian Gold Generation Scholarship 2026 (PGGS 2026)
- A copy of the Student Identity Card (KTM) or a screenshot of the Academic Portal.
- A legalized copy of the latest academic transcript or Study Result Card (KHS) showing a minimum GPA of 3.25.
- Proof of payment of the current UKT (tuition fee).
- A Declaration of Non-Receipt of Other Scholarships, using the official format provided.
- A recommendation letter issued by the student's faculty (through the Faculty Student Affairs Office).
- Supporting documents demonstrating financial need, such as:
- Proof of participation in the Family Hope Program (PKH);

- Other social assistance documentation;
- Certificate of Financial Hardship issued by the village or subdistrict office;
- Certificate of parental income;
- Parents' salary slip; or
- Proof of employment termination (if applicable).

DTSEN Decile 1–4 verification from the Ministry of Social Affairs' social assistance database (if available, considered an added value).
- Certificates of organizational involvement, community service, and academic or non-academic achievements (if available, considered an added value).
- An essay of 500–1,000 words presenting an innovative idea to improve access to and the development of PT Pegadaian's financial literacy and investment products, services, or programs, particularly for university students and the academic community.
The essay should cover:
- The financial literacy and investment challenges faced by students and the academic community.
- The proposed innovative solution and how it addresses those challenges.
- The implementation mechanism and sustainability of the proposed program.
- The expected impact of the innovation.
